United States of America in 2100 by JaySimons United States of America in 2100 by JaySimons
This is the map of the United States of America east coast and surroundings in fictional 2100 rising sea level scenario.

After global warming and rising of sea level sharply escalated, sea level is now 100 meters higher than it was in year 2000.

For that, major parts of United States of America, including NY, Washington D.C. are now sunken under sea level, and people have migrated further to the inlands.

What would the entire North American climate be like?  What ecosystems will each region witness?  I'm from Nebraska, so how will it be affected now that the coast is a lot closer?

Even if *all* the ice melts, the sea only ("only") goes up 60 meters - and that will take several hundred years. The problem is serious enough that this exaggerated shit is extremely irritating.

this is actually quite unsettling. I wouldn't want to see this happen!
This is very cool, and i can imagine some great dystopian novels being based on this concept.
on another note though, wouldn't the Great Lakes' water level rise also? It appears unchanged compared to the drastic coastal difference.

This map is extremely flawed. First the sea level is currently rising at a rate of 33 mm per year exponentially and current predictions to 2100 range from 6 feet of rise to 10 feet. Secondly, this map shows sea level rise to 100+ feet which is absurd.

This should give you some perspective of 10 feet.

It is rather flawed to expect prediction made 100 years in advance as determined, and secondly, it is said to be fictional scenario in the first place.
Also, if it's an error, it's error of expectation or prediction, not intrisnic to the cartographic work itself.

I know it is practically impossible, but this map has been made just to show what would be be flooded if sea level was 100 m higher.

Will you be doing a full map of the United states, or at least the lower 48 and one of Alaska/Hawaii? Would also be interesting to see the other continents as well. Could be very useful for an alternate history world.

So, Baltimore is the new capital? I'd imagine that America would take advantage and move the Capital more central, like Saint Louis.
