Germany in 2100 by JaySimons Germany in 2100 by JaySimons

This is the map of the Germany and surroundings in fictional 2100 rising sea level scenario.

After global warming and rising of sea level sharply escalated, sea level is now 100 meters higher than it was in year 2000.

For that, majority of North Germany is sunken, Netherlands are now microstate, and all European countries are experiencing massive flood of immigrants.

A state of North Bavaria? Don't let that be seen by those North Bavarians. They aren't Bavarians, they are Frankonians. ^^
If you split the federal state of Bavaria, the two parts should by named Franken and Bayern.

And all the good parts are gone. Only Uelzen and Buxtehude left. What a dreadful future. ;)

I refuse to believe that in a future world where a large part of the world is flooded and a lot people died because of the consequences and massive floods of immigrants hit other countries which will also have an economic impact, the name of a norther Bavarian state plays any role xD

Wonderful map, great work! Here is my remark: Mannheim and Ludwigshafen are sitting on the opposite lakesides of the new Rhine Gulf. I find that strange. It is more likely that they would sink together in its middle, isn't it?

If I may ask, what texture do you use to give it this brown papery look? Do you put something in the layer underneath it? Thank you ;)

Frankfurt als Hauptstadt?
Naaaaahhhh... not going to happen!

Wow this map is awesome, so interesting, thanks so much for sharing, I could look at it for hours XD

Frankfurt is the perfect capital, good job!

Just two things I saw in Bavaria near München: It´s Landsberg am Lech, not Leeh, Unterschleissheim not -schlesshelm, Aichach, not Aichac, Starnberg not Starmberg, Donauwörth, not -worth, and it´s Walkdkraiburg, not -kralburg ^^

This is not meant to make you angry, I just wanna help making it perfect, and this are only a few writing-mistakes, nothing big, the map is still the best :)

Maybe you could call it Rheinbucht instead of Rhine Gulf? But this is really fascinating! Maybe Austria would reunite with Germany to survive that situation?

By the way, why isn't Nordbayern called Franken?

:iconjaysimons:
JaySimons Featured By Owner Jul 26, 2012  Professional Digital Artist
Thanks for asking ;). Nordbayern is called Nordbayern because it also includes Oberpfalz, not only Franken. Although, maybe Bavaria could be divided in another way, with Franken being one part and Südbayern the another one.
